Cleaning Care
To protect and maintain the finish of your window film, we recommend a microfiber cleaning cloth. You can use the microfiber cleaning cloth either dry as a duster, or with a spray and wipe method. Split microfiber is positively charged, which makes it work like a magnet attracting negatively charged dust particles. This allows the cloth to attract and hold dirt/dust, rather than just pushing it around like a cotton cloth would.
Most vehicles have a black ceramic “frit” edge on the rear window and, on occasion, also on the side windows. In some cases the ceramic edge is straight and flat and in others it will have a dotted edge, often referred to as “dot matrix”. These raised black ceramic dots prevent the window film from bonding in the gaps between them. This will result in giving the appearance of a trim surrounding the glass. How pronounced the trim is will be dictated by the width of the ceramic dots, and is unavoidable.
Drying Out Process
The mounting solution used during the installation will require time to dry out. The exact period of time will vary depending on many different factors such as the weather conditions. During the process you might notice the film appears slightly hazy or seems to have air/water bubbles - this is perfectly normal. We ask our customers to refrain from opening any freshly tinted windows for one week after installation and to allow 3-4 weeks for the dying process to complete.
The warranty is valid for as long as you have ownership of the vehicle. In the unlikely event that the window film application should experience an adhesive failure such as cracking, glazing, delamination, peeling, excessive or unusual colour change or any other failure due to a manufacturer’s defect, then your Tints2Go Appointed Installer will provide a replacement. The warranty does not cover damage, expense or cost caused or partially caused through improper film care, cleaning, abuse or glass breakage.
5 Simple Steps
To Choosing the right Window Tinting Company

- Step 5
How long have they been in business?
Ideally find a Window Tint Company that has been in business for 5 or more years. This shows a stable business that will be there years down the road if somehow the tint goes bad.
When you call, how was their Customer Service?
They should be happy and willing to spend the time to talk to you and explain how their service works. Remember, if they don't spend time with you now, they might not spend time with you when something goes wrong with your tint job down the road.
Ask about the type of warranty they offer
Choose a Window Film Company that backs their installations with a lifetime warranty and quality guarantee with branded window films.
Are they qualified & Insured?
Find out about their experience and training. Have they simply been on a 1 - 2 training course and have they ever tinted your make/model of vehicle? Make sure to see 'real' examples of their recent work. Are they fully insured?
Are the prices too good to be true?
There are a lot of window tinting installers out there who have attended a 1 or 2 day training course that will offer you a cheap price to get your custom. They will generally disappear though under a 'mountain of complaints'.
